Italian travertine scabus

2006

Since moving my studio to a working ranch with livestock and horses I have been able to work with natural horsemanship. This piece translated means  “Wait”, was inspired by building a relationship with the horse to be still and wait, calmly, allowing the next move to come from the riders intention, first a thought, then an action.  The horses head is turned in a gesture as if she is listening.
